Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and living in New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as a prisoner on Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone was a graduate of NIDA. Yael was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's most renowned storytellers. She's worked behind the scenes on film, television as well as theatre. Yael is well-known as an actor across Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael made New York City her home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically acclaimed production. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery.
