| Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film theatre and television actress who is known for her performances in films like The PianoFly Homeaway and X-Men.She started her film career as a child artist for The Pianofor which she won the Academy Awardfor Best Actress in supporting role at the age of eleven. Her intention was never to become an actor However, the universe determined that she should. Following her success with her first film, she received many offers which she declined in order to focus on her studies. She returned to film when she was 14 performing roles including Jane Eyre and Fly Away Home. Her role in X-Menthe X-Menfilm set was the first role to become her most recognizable. She reprised Roguein the X2 and X-Men, The last Stand.She has also had small-screen appearances including Elaine Goodalin the film Bury My Heart in Wounded Kneeforwhich was her first Emmynomination. Soon after, she was bombarded by requests to be a part of television programs. |
